'Wages can’t go up at this point or every company would risk bankruptcy—it’s that bad'
There’s an economic crisis in this country, and prices of everything have gone up, and I have about 40-50 employees in the restaurants I own. I’ve told them that, look, we’re having a hard time here—you’re having a hard time because of the crisis, too. Wages can’t go up at this point or every company would risk bankruptcy—it’s that bad. I mean, this also wouldn’t be good for the customers, because prices would keep increasing in order to cover wages. And I’m seeing this in just about every company, that we’re looking to see how we can save costs so we can deal with the increase financial obligations.
